Vols Revenge Tour
Apologies for the late post, I had this ready to fly last Thursday. Technological issues delayed this, but I am back!! More blogs coming today about this weekends games.
This week the Revenge Tour continues with a beat down of Florida at Neyland Stadium during the 3:30 primetime slot. A rivalry that of late has been dominated by Florida both covering spreads and winning outright. However, the tides have changed and the ripple effect all oppositions are feeling against Josh Heupel at the helm of this ship is just beginning.. The Vols are a -10.5 favorite, but I do expect Florida to give the Volunteers their best game for as long as they can. Yet, even their best will not be enough. Volunteers roll the gators and cover the spread. Not enough rat poison, College GameDay jinxs, or Barstool GameDay madness, will stop the Volunteers from winning Saturday afternoon.
My last blog had mentioned the key to success for the week vs Pittsburgh was our defensive unit answering the call. Vols defense had a team best 27 QB pressures and dominated the physicality of that game. I believe this game will be largely on their shoulders again and their ability to limit Anthony Richardson’s big plays. Florida will try to control the run game and will be looking to win with a 20-30 point game. However, when the Volunteers put up that amount of point in the first half. Florida will be scattering for solutions and need to pull out trick plays early. If the Vols remain dialed in then this game could get ugly for the Florida Gators.
Hendon will need to come out more efficient than he has been the first few games for the Tennessee Vols. Cedrick Tillman is most likely not playing Saturday afternoon. The vols will need to have players step up if that is the case. I do believe Hendon will help aid this with his poise and composure in the pocket. Dicing up the very exploitable Florida defense will leave Florida with no choice, but try somehow to keep up with the fireworks going off in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Ohhhh, Rocky Top, you’ll Always be…
