I hated being away for a week, and with an off night in the NBA last night and limited action to take in Major League Baseball, I figured returning on Taco Tuesday may be a more fitting move.
Although I haven’t put together any write-ups over the last week or so, I’ve still managed to grow the bankroll and make some money moves on Prize Picks.
I got carried away with my plays last Tuesday night, a night in which I couldn’t even watch the games as I was at the Eagles concert in Tampa, so that’s a glaring mistake on my part.
Luckily, we were able to recoup those losses and even break into the $400+ winnings territory after dropping just below $150 five days previous.
MLB has been kind to us and tailing/making my own plays in the NBA has been paying off handsomely.
We capped off the weekend with a pair of NBA wins and won our lone play of the night on Monday evening, netting a cool $190 overall.

Sitting at $460 in the account on Tuesday, I feel good about our chances to stay in the green and even go above $500 TONIGHT.
So, let’s dive into tonight’s NBA slate, and add an MLB play along the way.
Our first play is going to include the day’s first Taco Tuesday discount which is Sixers big man Joel Embiid o415 PRA. Embiid is going up against rival and number-one seed Boston tonight at Wells Fargo Center. He’s still heavily in contention for MVP and he’s cleared this mark in 5/L8 home games including all three matchups with the Celtics this season.
With this taco, we’re going to tail our guy Prop Bomb and take Demar Derozan o24.5 points against fellow play-in contender, Atlanta Hawks. Derozan has cleared this point mark in all three contests against Trae and the Hawks this season, and the Bulls need to keep winning to improve seeding as well as keep momentum on their side. Let’s cash this first play and set the tone for the evening.

My next NBA play is going to be a big boy two-legger, pairing New Orleans Pelicans C Jonas Valanciunas o11.5 rebounds with Timberwolves F Karl Anthony-Towns o21.5 points against Brooklyn.
Valanciunas has hit this mark in 10/L14 games overall and 4/L5 at Smoothie King Center. The Pelicans have rattled off six wins in their last seven tries and JV has been a big contributor to this success. He is averaging 13.6 rebounds in his L10 games and went for 19 points and 12 boards against Sacramento in the Pels’ lone matchup this season. In the four games he missed this mark, JV played less than 25 minutes. In another must win with momentum on their side, I don’t see him going under 25 MP or even less than double digit rebounds.
KAT is coming off a sluggish night, scoring just eight points in the Timberwolves’ shocking 107-105 loss to Portland on Sunday. Minnesota needs the win, especially off an atrocious performance, and KAT has cleared this number in 3/L5 since returning to the T’Wolves lineup.

We’re going to keep the MLB play short and sweet tonight. I’m taking the Max Scherzer taco, which is o6 K’s against Milwaukee. Scherzer cleared this mark in 14/23 starts in 2022 and had at least 6 strikeouts in 18/23. He fanned 6 Marlins in 6 innings of work on Opening Day, we just need one more tonight. Let’s get it, Mad Max.
With Max, we’re taking another Metropolitan player, SS Francisco Lindor o1.5 Hits/Runs/RBIs against Milwaukee. Lindor is lifetime 5/13 against Wade Miley with three XBHs and three RBIS, and he’s got teammates with good numbers as well, (Alonso 3/6 and Marte 9/22) which fares well for crossing home plate. And since we can’t take just two players from the same team, we’ll add on Philadelphia SS Trea Turner o1.5 total bases. I’ve seen a bunch of people on this play. Trea has cashed in every appearance this season thus far and is a threat to homer, which would cash us instantly, so were taking the bait.
Let’s see if we can’t cash this one too and make it a clean sweep across two sports!

LATE ENTRY ALERT
I’m adding one additional play, because I am probably getting carried away with my excitement for tonight’s NBA slate. We’re pairing OKC Thunder G Lu Dort o5.5 rebounds with Hornets F Svi Mykhailiuk o3.5 assists. To keep things short, Dort has hit in 8/L8 including five road games as well as his lone matchup against GS this season (8 boards). Svi is playing without Dennis Smith Jr. tonight, and very well may be playing in garbage time. Svi comes courtesy of Prop Bomb, so hats off to him for the late play. Let’s cash!!
